How to play
Your wallet is your identity in the game. You can watch the lyne without connecting.
The first time, the contract asks for a 0.01 NEAR storage deposit to make your player record. This is separate from the jackpot and is not an entry price. Your wallet also pays normal network transaction fees.
Tap “Enter tonight’s draw” before the countdown ends. Entry itself costs no tokens. Your piece turns lit, so it can win that round. You need to enter again in the next round.
The draw happens after the round closes. You do not need to keep the page open.
What your odds mean
Each wallet has a length on one shared lyne. A basic entry has length 1. Longer lit pieces are more likely to be hit. Your chance of winning is your lit length ÷ the whole lyne.
Example: if four equal pieces make up the lyne, you have a 1 in 4 chance. Two pieces are lit, so there is a 1 in 2 chance that anyone wins. These are example numbers; the live game shows current odds.
Dark means a wallet was on the lyne before but did not enter this round. Empty is space with no wallet. Neither can win. The contract starts with a 25% empty share, but its owner can change that setting. Use the live odds on the game page.
The order of pieces you see on screen is just a visual layout. The contract uses their lengths to pick a winner.
What LYNEAR does
Grow your base piece
When you enter, the contract checks the LYNEAR in your wallet. Holding more increases your length, up to 1.5× at 10 million LYNEAR. You keep the tokens in your wallet. The balance is checked for that round; buying later does not change an entry already made.
Spend for this round
You can pay LYNEAR to make your piece longer for the current round. The game offers 2×, 3× and 5× boost targets. A boost can also enter you if you already joined but have not entered. Every LYNEAR spent on boosts goes into the LYNEAR jackpot.
Holding and boosting multiply together: final length = base 1 × holding factor × boost factor. Boosts reset each round. The boost factor grows with the square root of the total LYNEAR you spend that round, so each extra increase costs more. Splitting one payment into several payments does not improve the result. The contract’s boost price can be changed by its owner; the game shows the current token amount before you confirm.
You never need LYNEAR to enter or win. A longer piece improves your chance; it does not guarantee a prize.
Rounds and fading
The countdown on the game page is the deadline to enter or boost. After it ends, a keeper normally asks the contract to draw. The draw may appear shortly after the countdown rather than at the exact second it reaches zero.
If you miss a round, your old piece stays on the lyne as dark space. It gets shorter over the following rounds and eventually disappears. The contract starts with a seven-round fade, but its owner can change that setting. Dark space affects everyone’s odds, but it cannot win. Enter again to light your piece for the new round.
The two jackpots
The game keeps a NEARLY pot and a LYNEAR pot. Tokens actually received by the game contract are counted into those pots. That can include creator fees, holder payouts received by the game, direct funding, and LYNEAR spent on boosts. The pots are separate from any token trading liquidity pool.
When the point lands on a lit piece, that wallet wins both entire pots. The contract attempts to send the tokens automatically. If a token transfer or registration fails, that amount remains claimable in the winner’s game account; a Claim button appears when there is something to collect.
If the point lands on dark or empty space, there is no winner. Both pots roll into the next round. There is no fixed prize amount or guaranteed winner in any round.
What happens on-chain
Entry lengths, the draw result, rollover, and payouts are handled by the NEAR contract at game.lynearly.near ↗. The site reads that contract and asks your wallet to sign actions. The keeper helps start draws and sync newly received tokens; anyone can call the draw after a round ends.
The draw uses a random seed from a NEAR block to choose a point on the lyne. This is visible on-chain, but block producers can influence that seed. It is suitable for the current small-pot game design, not a guarantee of manipulation-proof randomness. The contract has not had an independent audit.
